SvBony Telescope: Best Telescope for beginners |Review

Refractor telescope is best start for Astrophotography by using a telescope. My first and till in use refractor is SvBony refractor telescope which is one of the best telescopes for beginners, that is why I thought to have a review writing of SVBony SV48 refractor telescope and explaining my experience with you that how it is best for beginners.

When it comes to beginners we always stuck with the budget as we would not get the idea of how long we can take this ours over a budget hobby. In the other hand, we would also need a good item which will not spoil our hobby in fixing its unknown features.

Thanks to SvBony which is my favorite Aliexpress Store. This company started building very good Refractor SV48 – 500mm / 90 mm which is one of the best telescope for deep sky astrophotography for beginners. This is doublet air-spaced achromatic design.

  1. Balance Tripod very well – water bubble should be at the center.
  2. Once balancing is done, fix your mount – I am using AZ-Gti with EQ mode
  3. If you are using EQ mode mount then set adjust RA axis, point mounts towards the north After adjustment attached SvBony refractor on mount pointing towards north direction.
  4. attached DSLR or Astro cam to main scope ( SV48 )
  5. add guiding scope and guiding camera top of the main scope
  6. connect all devices to ASIAIR – the Main Camera, guiding camera and mount
  7. As I am using AZ-Gti so that I can connect this mount to ASIAIR with wifi station mode activation,
  8. You are ready for deep sky astrophotography with a refractor,

Hi, i was also looking this SVBony scope from AliExpress and Ebay and looks sturdy and affordable.

In fact, i bought some SvBony products before (a 50mm /190mm guidescope, 1 illuminated reticle eyepiece, 2 wide-field eyepieces, a great UHC filter that is better than an Orion or an ES), bought from China and all of them are really well-made, with a excelent quality/price ratio.

As fas i was looking, It’s not a simple cheap Achromatic scope. It is, in fact, an air-spaced doublet with FMC glass. I completely aware i’ll need a field flattener with this scope.

However, my main question is: have you seen a visible or dramatic chromatic/spheric aberration in its images? how is it’s performance with DSO objects? According with its advertising, it’s worth to buy ir because it offers sharp views of m42 and other objects.

Regards!!

Luis.

Thanks, Luis for taking time and reading my blog, I am using SvBony sv48 as my main scope and capturing a bunch of DSO images, I will be sharing soon with the details, straight to your question, CA, yes, it has!!!! when you have live view on DSLR, but at final image you wouldn’t get it (after simple DSS stacking ). It has a sharper image with this price. I am using L pro filter for my astrophotography.
